A Journey to Wholeness

  • Tall Trees Barn PE10 0UH United Kingdom (map)

A one day yoga, breathwork and sound retreat

to slow down, reflect and reconnect with yourself in the calm and peaceful Lincolnshire countryside.

In a world that thrives on adrenaline and busy schedules, where there’s little room for slowing down, restoring, or being truly present, it’s more important than ever to carve out time for yourself. We rush from one task to the next with no time to take a breath.

Over time we become disconnected from what we really want in life, feeling lost in the noise of daily obligations, overwhelmed by our long to-do lists and burdened by other people’s expectations and the enormous pressure that we put on ourselves.

Day to day it’s so easy to lose touch with yourself and others.

It’s only in slowing down, coming back to your body, listening to your inner voice and expressing yourself around others can you begin to feel your whole self again.

Imagine stepping inside a sanctuary, a quiet garden nestled in tranquil countryside and surrounded by an abundance of wildlife - treecreepers, woodpeckers, ravens, and owls - under the canopy of tall trees - away from the hustle of daily life obligations to immerse yourself in a day that has been designed to restore balance, invite moments of peace, re-energise you to go after what you really desire, so you can start feeling like yourself again.

Our Journey to Wholeness retreat offers a thoughtfully curated experience that facilitates true rest and exploration of the world within yourself through the transformative practices of yoga, breathwork, meditative writing and sound healing to reconnect you with your true self and find deeper alignment and peace.

Claryn has a lovely relaxed and gentle way of teaching meditation and yoga and I would thoroughly recommend her to anyone. - Linda Fogarty-Smith

Slow Down. Reflect. Reconnect

Set in the tranquil countryside of the Fens, the historic village of Dunsby offers peace and quiet, placing you in an idyllic country setting that invites you to slow down and reconnect with nature.

Through the nurturing practices of yoga, breathwork, meditative writing and sound healing, you’ll find the calm you’re craving, the clarity you didn’t realise you needed and the connection you’ve lost recently.

With breathwork and guided meditative writing, we will tap into your subconscious mind to access your desires and where you’ve been holding back from going after what you want, returning to your true self—refreshed, renewed, and awakened.

The Sound Healing Session was very well prepared [..] it fulfilled my expectations of being an amazing experience. The sounds were different to what I have experienced before and Claryn's expertise in using them was perfection- Diane Jenney

A Journey to Wholeness is for you if:

  • You’ve been rushing through life recently, from work commitments to seeing friends and family without having had a moment to yourself.

  • You’ve lost touch with your inner voice because you’ve been looking outward for answers and validation.

  • You’ve been drowning in self-criticism, not acting kindly towards yourself, judging when you look in the mirror or behaving a certain way.

  • You wake up with a to do list that’s impossible to complete and an inner critic that’s telling you you should be getting everything done.

  • You feel stuck in the mundanity of the day to day routine of life from cooking to cleaning, feeling numb about what actually brings you joy.

  • You’re unsure which hobbies you could pursue and unsure of what you really want from life at this time but at the same time long to reignite your passion for something.

  • You’ve been working so much you don’t know what to do with your spare time.

  • You want to reignite a spark in you that makes your feel energised and alive.

What to expect:

Yoga to Slow Down: Start the day with a gentle yet energising yoga session that guides you inward, helping you tune into the sensations in your body, noticing what needs attention, and observing what arises without judgement.

Breathwork to Restore: Bring new energy through your breath and release any stuckness and stagnant energy. Together we’ll create space to welcome new insights and aspirations directing you to move forward with a renewed sense of clarity and direction in your life.

Writing to Reconnect: Reconnect with your deepest, most authentic self, with love and without judgment for powerful healing and self-expression. Through this process, you can receive personal wisdom, share it with others, and embody your insights more fully, fostering empowerment and deepening connection with yourself and others.

Yoga Nidra and Sound to Return to Wholeness: Surrender and trust. Time to bring it all together by immersing ourselves in the soothing vibrations of sound healing. The frequencies washing over you will clear residual energy blockages and hold you in rest and wholeness as you renew and anchor in your new commitments to yourself.

Meet you host:

Claryn Nicholas

Hi I’m Claryn

I am a certified yoga teacher, conscious connected breathwork Facilitator and Coach. I have trained with Gabor Maté in his Compassionate Inquiry psychotherapeutic approach to healing trauma, and I am qualified in delivering sound healing.

All of this to say that I have come to believe and understand that our bodies hold the answer.

I spent a good portion of my life, rushing through it, anxious, drained and running on empty. In 2020, I was diagnosed with an overactive thyroid condition and had to learn to slow down and listen to my own needs which allowed me to meet myself again.

After addressing past traumas, releasing emotions through breathwork and committing to my own self care I changed the way I spoke to myself and treated my body. It was only then I got closer to my desire, understood what I really wanted, communicated consciously with my partner, family and friends, and got to do the work I only dreamed of.

It all begins with slowing down, restoring and reconnecting.

And it can start with a Journey to Wholeness.

Guest facilitator:

Morag Young

Morag is a part-time storyteller and poet who has been delivering guided writing sessions for over three years. In her professional life she supports purpose-led entrepreneurs to find not just the right
words but the right ways to market and run their business. Passionate about people raising their unique voices up into the world, Morag believes that words are the bridges that help us cross the unseeable.
She’ll take every opportunity she can to talk about how we can all harness the power of our true and wise inner voice to think better, imagine better and reveal limitless solutions.

When she’s not helping folks discover that their voice is their most powerful tool you’ll find her far away from computer screens, writing in cafés, wandering through woods, shopping in art galleries and most fun of all, riding motorbikes.

Information about Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB):

Conscious Connected Breathwork is one of the most profound approaches to releasing emotional, mental and physical tension, regulating and supporting our nervous system, deepening our awareness and connection to ourselves, and expanding our consciousness, and for trauma release

CCB uses a breathing technique that we breathe through the mouth in a continuous circular pattern (there is no pause between the inhale and exhale). The emphasis is on the inhale to create a charge as you fill the body with more oxygen.

Breathing this way takes us to an altered state of consciousness where our analytical brain (the prefrontal cortex) goes offline.

Neurotransmitters, including dopamine and endorphins, are then released.

You will be conscious and always in control of your own breath and journey and I will guide and hold a safe space for you throughout.
